So, this is pretty much short & simple!
Nail polished boots!
Pick out a bunch of nail polish, your favorite colors.
Find an old pair of boots, shoes, or sandals - doesn't matter.
Make sure they're clean, no dirt or anything caked onto them.
Set a nice place to do this project at, because it will take awhile and you don't want to get nail polish on anything. So set down newspapers or something on your kitchen table (or any other available table you have)
Okay, so now all you do is take a pen (or pencil, if you make a mistake) and draw out the designs on your shoe. Then this is the simplest, just go over it with your nail polish!
If your color isn't too effective, just use some sharpies to go over, then over the sharpie designs go over it with nail polish!
Why we used nail polish for this? Well you can use paint I suppose, but with paint most of it's waterproof unless you get a big can. With nail polish it's so much easier, you get this glazed look and some shine and sparkles (if your polish has glitter in it).
I suppose you can do this project with anything! But I find nail polish the best for it.
It's really up to you :)
My boots are just simple designs, I have this vintage looking swirl vine design on each side of the boot. Where my calves would be in them. And I made it match, with colors and all.
And then on the top I just put hearts and made that match.
But other wise, I just made a whole bunch of other designs, that weren't meant to match with the other shoe. So you can just do anything really, whole bunch of ideas! You know?
I'm always looking for inspiration, but am not really finding any online. So I hope this boot DIY is some inspiration to you - to give you ideas to do something.
This is where I got my inspiration for this project, from.
Thankkk you Robert Frey! <-- Who ever that is :P
But I'm glad it says his name on his art. 'Cause I would have never of known.
So yeah, go crazy and get wild with your art. Make sure you send me pictures & let me know if you did this idea! I'd really appreciate it, a lot. Hope you guys makeeeee some amazing art <3
